Rally driver Karel Poslední officially joins the MM Technology, becoming the latest face of the team’s extensive client program. His competitive debut in the brand-new MMT EVO5 truck will come surprisingly early—he is set to line up at the start of the Spanish Baja Aragón this upcoming July.
Choosing the champions
Karel Poslední already had his first taste of MM Technology’s engineering in Africa, testing the truck under real desert conditions, and he didn’t hide his excitement about how confidently the chassis handles the dunes. Moving under the wings of the reigning Dakar Rally winners was a logical step forward for him.
“Change is a part of life, and right now I want to push myself further. For me, MM Technology is currently the absolute best out there—Martin won the Dakar with it, so the choice was clear. Plus, it’s a Czech team and a great bunch of people. I’m really enjoying being directly involved in the development, trying out different setups, and driving the truck even before my own brand-new baby is finished. The guys have promised us all-inclusive support, so I have nothing but positive impressions from both the testing and the team’s overall approach. I can’t wait to take the start with the MMT EVO5 for the first time this July at Baja Aragón,” says Karel Poslední, sharing his initial impressions.
Confirming the quality of the client program
Karel’s new Dakar machinery is being built completely from scratch at the MM Technology center in Sedlčany. The partnership is built on full factory support, providing top-tier technical facilities and complete support both during races and during off-race maintenance. Karel Poslední will thus utilize all the team’s know-how and facilities while maintaining his status as an independent client driver.
“We are immensely proud of this collaboration. Karel is a true racer at heart, who fits our philosophy perfectly. The fact that he chose MM Technology’s engineering and support for his next step on the Dakar means a lot to us—it shows that our work makes sense. We will do everything we can to prepare the best possible truck and setup for him for the upcoming races, including the Dakar,” concludes Martin Macík on behalf of MMT.
