MM Technology, a manufacturer of rally-raid trucks, opens the next chapter by launching the fifth evolution of its rally truck, the MMT EVO5. The new design is complemented by technological upgrades built on nearly twenty years of development, data gathered from the world’s toughest rally stages, and the experience of racing crews. Alongside the launch of the MMT EVO5, the Czech manufacturer is also unveiling a completely new brand identity.
The MMT EVO5 builds upon a successful lineage of evolutions that have already claimed two Dakar Rally victories. It brings a significantly redesigned exterior as well as structural modifications. Its bold and imposing appearance reflects the strength and durability of a rally-raid special that was entirely designed, developed, and built in accordance with the “Made by MMT” philosophy.
“For us, the MMT EVO5 represents another major step forward, both technologically and visually. We wanted to show the world our signature, and I believe we have built a truck that will once again push the boundaries of rally-raid in our category,” says Martin Macík about the new truck.
Data-Driven Evolution
The new evolution features a wide range of technological improvements. Experience and data gathered from the MM Technology Factory Team and MMT Client Teams, including this year’s Dakar Rally, have been directly translated into the truck’s latest development. These upgrades range from reinforced chassis components and enhanced cab durability to a redesigned damper layout, developed in close collaboration with suppliers.
Crews will appreciate the redesigned dashboard ergonomics as well as the perfected tyre inflation system, which is a crucial element for off-road driving. The front laser headlights and the light bar have also seen a major overhaul; on the MMT EVO5, they offer nearly three times the brightness compared to previous evolutions. For nighttime dune crossings, the new truck is also equipped with a side-illumination system to provide better orientation in the terrain.
The latest evolution of the truck will be fitted with the latest specification of Prometeon S02 Rally Evo tyres, the result of ongoing joint development between MM Technology and Prometeon.
A New Identity Uniting Engineering and Performance
Alongside the launch of the MMT EVO5, the Czech manufacturer is presenting its new visual identity. The refreshed look reflects the company’s precision engineering and its uncompromising racing DNA. The unified identity now brings together MM Technology as the manufacturer and the MM Technology Factory Team.
Premiere at Baja Aragón and a Home Showcase
The MMT EVO5 won’t have to wait long for its first competitive outing. It will make its rally debut this weekend at Baja Aragón in Spain. The first MM Technology Client Teams to take the wheel will be Italtrans Racing Team and Karel Poslední, competing for Team Valtorro Unlimited.
Czech fans will also have the opportunity to see Karel Poslední’s brand-new MMT EVO5 up close on 22 August at the biggest Dakar event of the summer, Posedlí Dakarem OPEN AIR in the Sedlčany.
